Maintenance and Care
Fabric Width & Seams
Most standard fabrics come in widths of 140–280 cm. For larger windows or fuller drapery styles, seams are sometimes required. We take great care to align patterns where possible, though a perfect match cannot always be guaranteed, and in some cases, part of the pattern may be lost. Adding a lining can help reduce seam visibility when light shines through.
Color Variance
Fabrics may show slight differences in shade or tone due to dye lot variations, fiber textures, or lighting conditions. The curtains you receive may also have minor color variance compared to the swatch you reviewed, which is normal in textile production and not considered a defect. To achieve the best match, we recommend ordering all panels at the same time.
Wrinkles from Shipping
Custom draperies are carefully packed and shipped folded, and wrinkles may appear upon arrival. Wrinkle removal is not the same for every fabric: some fabrics can be lightly steamed, while others should not be steamed. Please contact our customer service team for tailored care instructions for your specific fabric.
Fullness & Style
The fullness (how much fabric is used relative to the window width) is detailed in your order specifications and directly affects the look of the drapery. Please review these details carefully before purchase to ensure your preferred style.
Curtain Size & Height
The finished height of your drapery will be made exactly to the measurement you provide online. Please double-check your measurements carefully before placing an order.
Curtain Size & Width
The finished width of your drapery, after pleating, will be made slightly wider than the width you provide. This ensures proper coverage, a graceful gathered look, and easier operation. Curtain tracks and gliders can be very smooth, which may stretch the panels apart during use. Making the curtains slightly wider ensures they close fully and meet in the middle, especially when ordered as two panels.
Hooks Included
All draperies come with the necessary hooks for installation, so you’ll have everything you need to hang them right away.
Adjustable Height for Pinch Pleats
For pinch pleat curtains, the height can be adjusted slightly by repositioning the hooks during installation.
Needle Holes on Blackout Fabrics
For coated blackout fabrics, tiny needle holes may be visible at the seams. This is a normal characteristic of the fabric and does not affect overall performance.
Pattern Matching
We will always try to match patterns carefully at the seams. However, with certain designs it may not be possible to achieve a perfect match, and partial patterns may be lost in the process.
Made-to-Measure Nature
Every drapery is handcrafted to your exact size and specifications. As with all custom-made products, small tolerances in measurements and finish (within industry standards) may occur.
Tiebacks Not Included
Curtain tiebacks are not included unless specified otherwise. They can be purchased separately if required.
