Project Overview
The homeowners of Shelby Drive wanted practical window treatments that address two main issues: daylight glare and privacy at night. They chose a combination of roller shades tailored to the needs of each room.
Design & Product Selection
-
Light-Filtering Roller Shades
In the living room and dining area, they opted for light-filtering fabrics. These allow natural light to soften the space while reducing harsh glare and maintaining a view outward. -
Blackout Roller Shades
In the bedrooms, blackout roller shades were used. These provide full darkening when needed, ensuring privacy and sleep comfort.
This two-tiered strategy ensures each room has a shade solution optimized for its function: bright and open for shared spaces, dark and restful for sleeping areas.
Benefits & Experience
-
Daytime Comfort
Light-filtering shades moderate direct sunlight and minimize glare, creating a soft, comfortable ambience in living and dining areas. -
Nighttime Privacy & Darkness
Bedrooms benefit from blackout options, blocking outside light and fostering better sleep. -
Consistent Look
Using roller shades throughout provides visual continuity and simplicity across different rooms.
