1. Measurments

  • Measure at the top, middle, and bottom of the window opening. Use the shortest measurement.
  • Measure on the left, center, and right sides. Use the longest measurement.

2. Choose Inside vs. Outside Mount

  • Inside mount gives a clean, built-in look but requires accurate frame depth. Inside Mount blinds and shades are installed within the window casing. Provide the precise measurements of the inside of the window frame, and the factory will make necessary deductions for a proper fit. Please note that our minimum depth requirement is 100mm/3.94in inches. If the window depths is slightly smaller but >60mm, and inside mount is still possible with the mounting bracket will extend beyond the wall.
  • Outside mount is ideal for shallow windows or to block more light. Outside Mount blinds and shades are installed above the window opening using brackets attached to the wall or window frame. To reduce light gaps, add at least 4 inches to both the width and height.

3. Check Frame Depth

Ensure your window frame has enough depth to accommodate the type of blind or shade you’re choosing.

  • For "Cordless" operation type, inner mount requires a minimum depth of 8cm/3.15in.
  • For other operation types, inner mount requires a minimum depth of 10cm/3.94in.

4. Double-Check for Obstacles

Watch out for window cranks, handles, or nearby cabinets that could interfere with your blinds. Make sure the the frame's surfaces are suitable for blinds installations.

5. When selecting a morotized blind option, multiple blinds installed in the same room can be controlled by the same remote or multiple remotes. Please make sure that blinds intended for the same room are ordered together with the same room name/number.

6. Need Help?
We offer in-house and phone consultations and in-person measuring services.

Zebra blinds are designed for simplicity—both in style and upkeep. While they’re considered low maintenance compared to traditional fabric treatments, a little regular care will keep them looking and functioning their best.

  • Dust regularly using a feather duster, microfiber cloth, or a soft brush attachment on a vacuum to remove everyday buildup.
  • Spot clean gently with a damp cloth if needed. Avoid harsh cleaners, bleach, or abrasive scrubbing, as these can damage the fabric.
  • For motorized zebra shades, operate them regularly to keep the internal components in good working order and prevent stiffness from inactivity.
